Banham Village Community Hub

The Banham Village Community Hub is a small Community Interest Group that exists to combat social isolation for residents who live in and around Banham. It is based on an ethos that believes in providing an inclusive and safe space for all residents regardless of age, race, gender, sexuality or disability. We provide local information and are a drop-off point for the Trussell Trust food bank.

Along with the services listed below, we hold occasional social events, community workshops and community activities. During 2023, this included a bingo night, a free Christmas meal and bulb planting.

If you would like to volunteer or if you have a skill you would like to share through a workshop or other activity, please let contact us.

Wednesday Cafe
This is held every Wednesday between 10.00am and Noon and runs throughout the year. We offer free cups of tea, coffee or hot chocolate and cake. It has been running for just over a year and regularly attracts between 20 and 36 people who come along and chat with their friends and neighbors. It is a great place to form new friendships or renew them. People who come to the Cafe might regard themselves as strangers at the start but soon join in with the lively chatter.

Along with the hot drink and cake, we offer a book swap and jigsaw swap and there are games available for you to use.

Soup and a Roll
Soup and a roll is offered during the colder months, when the clocks go back until they go forward again, so from late October to the end of March. We serve between Noon and 1.00pm and offer a choice of soups each week.

Breakfast4Kidz
During school holidays and at half term we open earlier at 9:30 to offer free cereal and toast to children. We ask that children are accompanied by an adult who can join them if they wish or enjoy a cuppa and cake.
